GOLD
Keep gold jewelery away from harsh chemicals like household cleaning fluids as they create abrasions and reduce the luster of the metal. Cleaning gold jewelry is best done with warm water and detergent free soap. Thoroughly dry your jewelry after exposure to water. To preserve the shine, we recommend Blitz Extra Large Jewelry Care Cloth for gold, silver, and platinum.
BRASS, GUNMETAL & OTHER NON-PRECIOUS, HEAVY ALLOYED METAL
Jewelry made of materials other than gold, silver or gold/silver plated materials should be wiped clean with a clean dry soft cloth after wearing, Store in a non-humid place in its original packaging, if available, or wrapped with a dry paper towel.
GEM STONES
Jewelry with set stones may be loosened through wear and impact. Check the stone setting by gently shaking the item close to your ear. If there is a slight rattle the stone(s) are no longer secure in their setting and should be checked before any potential loss. Please contact us if you require a setting to be examined. To remove grease and grime within stone settings, use warm water mixed with mild detergent solution; it is wise to put the items into a basket (or sieve) for easy location and removal.
PEARLS
Pearls are meant to be worn, but remember that pearls are the last thing to go on, and the first thing to take off. Apply lotions and perfume (or other chemicals) prior to putting on your pearls. Store your pearl jewelry separately from other jewelry where they are open to the air, and never store them long term in a plastic bag or other perfectly sealed compartment as their color can change over the years if this is done. If you need to clean your pearl, only use a mild soap solution and wipe gently. Dry thoroughly with a lint-free cloth.
